ARTUR SIMONY

Arthur Simony is a French visual poet and artist whose practice draws from the sacred power of language, repetition, and ritual. Born in 1985 and based in Paris, Simony has spent the past two decades developing a singular body of work that lives between public performance, poetic calligraphy, and meditative composition.

His early installations were rooted in urban intervention and symbolic gesture — suspending the word life from tree branches in “Life Hangs by a Thread” (2002), inviting the public to reach for the stars in a participatory act of imagination, or releasing over 800 padlocks on the Pont des Arts in a conceptual gesture of emotional liberation.

In 2011, he introduced Jeanne — a recurring character inspired by Jeanne Hébuterne — meticulously drawn with monk-like discipline across city walls, notebooks, and canvases. Over time, Jeanne evolved from muse to mantra: a witness to his evolving relationship with presence, femininity, and devotion.

By 2014, Simony’s focus deepened into textual meditation, exploring mantras, ho’oponopono, and the vibratory nature of words. Through rhythmic scripts — “love,” “forgive,” “thank you,” “life is beautiful” — he channels language into visual frequencies. His works, often executed in tightly woven spirals or infinite lines, are more than paintings; they are spaces of intention, care, and inner alignment.

In recent years, Simony has expanded into digital art and NFTs, merging poetic intimacy with cryptographic play. His 2020 appearance at ETHcc included a coded artwork containing an actual Ethereum wallet key — fusing mystery, message, and material value.

His cryptoJeanne and Bitcoin Jeanne series continue this exploration of identity, technology, and authorship in Web3 culture. Arthur Simony’s work has been exhibited in Paris, Brussels, Geneva, Courchevel, and Étretat.

Whether painted by hand or minted on-chain, his pieces radiate a quiet optimism — inviting viewers to slow down, read between the lines, and connect with the unseen rhythm of language.
